Groton volleyball began as a Faculty-Sponsored Activity (FSA), then became a club team. Interest was so strong that the volleyball squad morphed into an interscholastic JV team. When the JV team lost only one game, Groton was ready for varsity-level play!
Volleyball at Groton balances working hard and building skills with having fun. Team members are selected for their skill, attitude, and commitment to team play. In 2019, our last competitive season, Groton volleyball shared both the ISL Award ( with Brooks) and the NEPSAC Sportsmanship Award ( with Middlesex) .
Groton’s varsity volleyball team practices four days a week and competes on Wednesdays and Saturdays. For more information, feel free to contact Coach Celene Ibrahim.
